University Conference

During the preparation of the Institutional Strategy of the University of Cologne, the so-called Excellence Plenum proved to be an efficient and accepted forum for the development of innovative ideas. For this reason, the University of Cologne has committed itself in its Institutional Strategy to maintain this forum for the further improvement of internal communication and corporate identity and to establish a university conference comprising students and members of the rectorate.

This consists of the Rectorate, the Equal Opportunities Officer, the Senate, the Internal Scientific Advisory Board, the Deans and other faculty representatives including students, doctoral students and young scientists, the Directors / Spokespersons of the UoC Centres for Research and Teaching, the UoC Centres of Excellence, major coordinated research projects (e.g. SFB) and other important central institutions as well as members of the institutes united in the Research Alliance Cologne.

The University Conference should meet at least once a year and serve as a "factory of ideas" and communication platform for improved support of positive developments within the University of Cologne*.
